As the product travels along the conveyor, it is fully submerged into a tank of batter. A weighted top conveyor assists to channel the product through the tank, ensuring the product remains immersed in the batter/marinade.

As the product leaves the tank an air knife removes excess batter, presenting the product for the next processing or packaging stage. A variable speed dial enables the operator to increase/decrease the speed of the belt as required.

The Deighton Range of Deighton EconoFry Fryers are electrically heated fryers with elements immersed directly into the insulated frying tank for the most efficient heat transfer.

This method imparts 97 – 99% of the heat directly into the oil using low density elements so as not to degrade the quality of the cooking medium

The system runs on a three phase supply and is simply operated from a central control panel.

The product passes between the bottom conveyor and adjustable hold down conveyor (supplied as standard), ensuring continuous submersion in the cooking oil at all times, along the length of the fryer.

Cooking time and temperature are completely adjustable, enabling the producer to finely adjust the appearance and level of readiness of each individual product.

EconoCrumb:

The EconoCrumb has been developed to make the automated process of crumbing formed or batter coated product accessible to the medium volume producer.

Designed to handle numerous types of crumb, the EconoCrumb unit enables the operator to enjoy maximum versatility. A single control panel operates the motorised conveyor transferring the product through the unit.

The conveyor is submerged in a bed of crumb, ensuring  an even coating is applied to the underside of the product.

The conveyor moves the product through the crumb curtain showering an accurate coating to the remaining areas.The fully coated produce proceeds to pass underneath a compressing roller which gently compacts the crumb around the product.

In its final stage the fan blows the excess crumb from the product, presenting the product for packaging or further processing. The excess crumb is recycled through the auger and transferred to the hopper, minimising waste.

Product Description:

The Deighton machine is available in 'weir' or 'dip' style, the machine is capable of handling adhesive or tempura mixtures. This can be decided upon to meet your individual production needs.

The Batter applicator has ease of switching batters between each production, this allows the operator the freedom to maximise efficiency and productivity through the Deighton machinery. 

Weir Econorobe Features:

This weir style is capable of using all adhesive batters and marinades of a range of viscosity.

The system has a variable speed conveyor passing through a 'puddle plate' and 'waterfall' allowing the product to be coated in the batter. The batter is then recirculated from the tank through the filter basket to the waterfall by the centrifugal pump, helping reduce waste. Any excess batter is then removed by a variable pressure air knife before presenting it for the next stage of packaging or processing.

Dip Econorobe Features:

The dip style is suitable for tempura and high viscosity batters, where mixing through a pump is not the preferred option.

The system has a variable speed conveyor belt allowing the product to pass through the whole production, enabling greater safety to the machine user. As the product travels along the belt it is submerged into the batter tank.

A weighed top conveyor aids the product through the tank ensuring the product remains completely immersed in the batter or marinade at all times. As the product moves from the tank a variable air pressure knife removes excess batter presenting it for the next stage of packaging or processing.
